What you will do

Reporting to the GP IT Executive Supply Chain Director, this position is responsible for leading the IT S&OP strategy for Global Products Supply Chain and coordinating with other teams for successful delivery of integrated solutions. The candidate will have experience in IT systems implementations enabling S&OP, Demand Planning and Supply Planning process, as well as IBP solution expertise. This position will serve as the IT Business partner for Global Products S&OP functions, providing thought leadership on IT strategic direction and managing IT demand for the Supply Chain S&OP IT portfolio.
He / She will partner with Global Products Function & Regional Leaders, IT Business Partners, and IT Technology leads to identify requirements, solutions, and investment planning to support IT capability enablement across Global Products Supply Chain. He /She will ensure that the capability Roadmaps dovetail with business unit plans and investment initiatives.

How you will do it

  • Provide systems and industry expertise in Integrated Business Planning, Demand Planning, Supply planning processes.

  • Understand short-and-long term business plans and objectives, IT investments and assets, cross-industry technology and business trends, and competitive environment.

  • Formulate an IT strategy that enables Manufacturing business strategies for S&OP.

  • Lead/participate in the ideation and high-level planning of IT projects including specification of high-level business requirements, formulation of business process and technology solution options, creation and vetting of business cases, and high-level project planning (scope, schedule, & budget).

  • Lead the creation and continuous improvement of a business capability and IT enablement roadmap. Revise roadmap on at least an annual basis and support with investment proposal including capital requirement estimates and business cases.

  • Capture, aggregate, and prioritize a portfolio of IT investments to enable needs as defined on the capability roadmaps.

  • Incorporate process standardization and simplification improvements in high-level designs to enable Global Products-wide leverage and streamline the IT applications landscape over time.

  • Spearhead trade-off analyses and assessments (project timing, technology approaches, requirements prioritization, etc), Champion understanding, support for, and value of S&OP IT investment portfolios.

  • Serve as the “glue” bringing together Business and IT communities to achieve common goals; and secure active participation and strong advocacy from Business and IT communities, customers, suppliers, and industry bodies.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems, Master’s in Business Administration or IT Management preferred.

  • 10 -15 years total experience; ideally 3 -5 years of experience in IT Supply Chain Functions such as Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics & Distribution.

  • 3 -5 years in IT S&OP portfolio management and/or solution design; and 3 -5 years in an IT business facing role (business analysis, business engagement, and/or stakeholder relationship management)

  • Position requires advanced experience in S&OP technologies with a heavy focus on Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement functional areas in a manufacturing industry.

  • Enthusiasm in driving positive change and IT capability enablement

  • Experience/Knowledge with IT technologies used for planning applications (SAP, Oracle, Logility preferred)

  • Position requires working knowledge of IT Roadmap development

  • Experience with Process development and mapping

  • Position requires exceptional collaboration, negotiation, influential leadership, and relationship-building skills with Business and IT stakeholders, customers, and suppliers in a highly matrixed environment; and demonstration of JCI key value

  • Ability to objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop executive level recommendations

  • Demonstrated track record of translating business needs into IT-powered solutions.

  • Track record of successfully executing complex Business-IT projects and achieving quantified business outcomes.
