The Senior Technical Sales Support Engineer provides industry leading technical, applications and sales support to the RenewAire sales channel partners (manufacturers reps, bid and spec reps, distributors, consulting engineers and installing contractors) and RenewAire team, primarily concerning commercial applications.

In this role, you will take leadership role in the commercial side of Sales support and work in concert with the RenewAire Sales and Marketing staff to ensure all levels of the sales channel are supported promptly and accurately using appropriate available resources and media. You will lead efforts to build the RenewAire brand and value to sales partners via effective communications and support.

This role is open to Remote work after an initial on-site training period.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide customer support – from initial selection to startup, commissioning, and warranty support – primarily by phone and email
  • Technical support areas focused on digital controls, airflow and energy performance, refrigeration systems, and electrical wiring and components
  • Take lead role on difficult support issues. Own the resolution from start to finish
  • Assist in training new Sales Support hires to make them effective team members
  • Manage Technical Sales Support knowledge base to ensure information is captured and easily accessible
  • Review new product documentation for accuracy and ease of use from the customer’s perspective
  • Assist customers in identifying the best practices and most cost-effective applications and specifications including energy analysis using company programs, coil selections, and pricing for specials
  • Assist in order processing, warranty requests, specification review, and field unit conversion requests
  • Train sales & installation personnel, including reps, distributors, & contractors
  • Provide general intelligence on key competitors as it pertains to maintaining and increasing RenewAire’s market position
  • Support and efficiently navigate inhouse unit selection software and ERP and CRM databases
  • Occasional jobsite visits required to resolve issues that cannot be resolved remotely or by local support
  • Assist in educational workshops and Trade show activities as required
  • Complete special projects, as directed
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the HVAC industry preferred
  • Previous technical support experience required
  • Strong Computer skills, MS Office, CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience troubleshooting refrigeration systems preferred
  • Experience with Carel controls preferred
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing environment preferred (non-direct sales via manufacturers reps and distribution channels)
