Job Summary
The World Wide Tech Team Enablement Office ensures the NetApp technical team has the resources, processes, and tools to articulate and differentiate the company strategy and technology, and to enable our customers to realize NetApp’s value in their organizations.
As a Principal Architect and Business Liaison in NetApp’s TTEO, you will utilize strong technical competencies, broad industry awareness, and a field-centric approach to lead specific initiatives that ensure NetApp’s technical team is enabled and motivated to drive adoption of our portfolio of technologies.
Examples include:
Ongoing interlock with business units to ensure that offerings and collateral position the technical team to execute effectively on go-to-market goals
Evolution of roadmap process in conjunction with product operations teams
Communication cadence to the product business units to transfer customer requirements and to provide field feedback on current products and roadmap plans
Standardization and evolution of shared SE services across the globe
Planning and cross-functional alignment for major technical events
Creating a technical field employee development strategy with input from sales engineering and business unit leadership
Planning and coordinating training curricula, product launch activities, and employee development and retention initiatives
Driving consistency of solution engineering processes and the promotion of field best practices
Efforts requiring global field technical input and alignment
You will be the primary contact from the Tech Team Enablement Office for one or more geographic regions and business units and part of a cross-functional organization. At the same time, you must collaborate within and beyond the team to have optimal visibility to the technical team’s position in the overall business. This role will be part of the Global Strategy and Technology Office with peer organizations that will be both contributors and consumers of these initiatives.
Job Requirements
Understanding of NetApp’s business unit and go-to-market structure
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex organization with minimal direction
Thought leadership, with proven success collaborating, influencing, leading change and driving progress related to initiatives and charter
Strong knowledge of NetApp portfolio including product positioning, solution applicability, and overall value proposition.
Autonomy in identifying, socializing, and executing on opportunities to improve technical team readiness
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
Key Activities
Coordinating with business units for tight alignment with the field technical teams across all geographies and market segments.
Aligning with and guiding business units and other organizations to ensure that NetApp technical team has the resources, processes, and tools to articulate and differentiate NetApp strategy, technology, and value to solve our customers’ most pressing challenges
Effectively managing workstreams that involve cross-functional collaboration and mobilization
Building stakeholder map, support and business case to execute on goals /projects
Establish success metrics and implement practices to track and report key indicators and escalate or intervene if needed
Identifying opportunities for accelerated growth and areas of risk and working with functional organizations to capitalize on growth opportunities and resolve factors related to areas of risk.
Represent technical team perspectives to NetApp business units, leaders, and other areas of the company
Education
8 to 12 years of experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills are imperative
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or another relevant academic discipline or equivalent experience is required. A Graduate degree is preferred.
